Faythe Dyrud Thureen grew up in a family of 11 children on a farm near Newfolden, Minnesota. For the past 18 years, she has taught Norwegian at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. Troll Meets Trickster is her first picture book. Jenna’s Big Jump (Atheneum), middle grade fiction, received the 1997 Jeanette Fair Memorial Award in Minnesota and was also a North Dakota Flickertale Honor book. It is currently published by iPicturebooks and available in Microsoft Reader format. Faythe and her husband Gordy live on a farm near East Grand Forks, Minnesota. Their children live in New York City.
